The Arcata Arts Institute will be hosting Humboldt County Office of Education’s Arts Symposium on Monday, February 4th at the Arcata High Fine Arts Building.
As a Demonstration Site for the California Department of Education, AAI is considered a model school for statewide arts, media, and entertainment programs. The Arts Symposium is a chance to showcase our success as a creative collective and to present best practices to California’s educators.
Breakout sessions include Theatre Tech with Jacqueline Dandeneau, Drawing with Joyce Jonte, Dance with Laura Munoz, Page to Stage Theatre with Nanette Voss, and How to become an AME CTE Program and qualify for funding. Keynote speaker will be Sarah Peters!
Classroom teachers, Visual Arts teachers, Theatre Arts teachers, Dance teachers, AME CTE teachers, administrators, pre-service teachers and advocates of arts are encouraged to register. No cost – funded by the California Dept. of Education.
