The Arcata Arts Institute art and music students will be having their Fall Showcase on Friday, October 12th during Arts Arcata! at Redwood Yogurt. Live music will be from 6:30-7:30 and art will be up for the months of October and November. The artwork on display is a selection from the students’ Summer Work. Every year students are asked to create five pieces of art over the summer. First-year students respond to a series of prompts. Second-year students start working on a series that could be expanded into a solo show. Third-year students, if they choose, start their AP Studio Art Concentration. This show represents a selection from that work.
