Get ready to celebrate the creativity and talent of Humboldt County’s young artists! The Humboldt County Office of Education is proud to present an exhibition of visual and performing arts at the Morris Graves Museum of Art, and this year’s event promises to be a real treat.
Arcata Arts Institute is exhibiting a collection of 40 works of art, titled “Making Music Visible” Each piece of art was inspired by a specific song, and on the title card for each artwork, you’ll find a QR code that you can scan with your phone. This will take you to the song that inspired the art, so you can experience the full creative vision behind each piece.
The exhibition will be on display throughout the month of March, but you won’t want to miss the opening during Arts Alive! on Saturday, March 4th. This is your chance to see the artwork up close and in person, and to chat with some of the talented young artists who created it. And if you’re in the mood for some live performances, you’re in luck! There will be a series of live youth performances from 12pm to 4pm on the same day, so you can immerse yourself in the vibrant and exciting world of the arts. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to celebrate the creativity of our youth!
The Morris Graves Museum of Art is located at 636 F Street in downtown Eureka.
