Arcata Arts Institute (AAI) is excited to announce two exhibitions that will be up during February Arts! Arcata Friday, February 9th from 6pm-9pm.  

AAI will be displaying artwork at Redwood Yogurt (1573 G St, Arcata, CA). This showcase features artwork that tells student stories through cartography.

 AAI music will accompany this showcase and will be performing in small ensembles from 6pm-9pm.

Additionally, the showcase will feature pieces from the Arcata High Foundations Art 1 class. The pieces are a study of value, light, texture , and shape through large-scale graphite drawings.

AAI is also exhibiting the photography work of AAI Senior, Mia Shope at Wildberries Marketplace (747 13th St, Arcata).  Mia’s collection is a variety of portraits that seek to create mood through light, sense of place and color.
