April Fools Day will be no joke!
Spend sometime with us this weekend. We promise no tricks, only good fun!
The Arcata Arts Institute is excited to announce that we will be showcasing at three locations across town this Saturday, April 1st, 2017.
Our first showcase will be our 6th Annual Photography show. This years collection is titled “Impressions and Perceptions”. These pieces are from our beginning photography students at Arcata High School. This collection can be seen at F Street Foto Gallery, above Swanlund Gallery, 527 F Street, Eureka. This showcase will be featured during Arts Alive which will be from 6-9pm. Pieces will remain up through the month of April.
Our second showcase will be the annual figure drawing collection at Ramone’s Bakery & Cafe in Old Town, Eureka. Lead by the talented local artist, Joyce Jonte, this years showcase will feature the strongest student work from her masterclass. This showcase will also include media arts compositions to compliment the figures. This is a family friendly showcase, as all the figures will be clothed. These pieces will also be displayed during Arts Alive, in Eureka, and remain up through the month of April.
Finish out the evening singing and dancing along at Humbrews in Arcata. The Arcata Arts Institute presents our Spring Music Showcase. Come and join us for a collection of contemporary pieces and musical numbers performed by our talented AAI Music students. This live event will take place on Friday at Humbrews, 856 10th St, Arcata. The show will start at 8pm.
