Frida King, a senior at Arcata High School and a Student Voices Leader for Create CA, created this video to bring awareness to the importance of arts education. As an arts student, she feels very strongly that schools need to support arts classes and teachers, and that sometimes they need a reminder. Frida states, “I wanted this video to represent the amazing, bold, inspiring work that can come from art students, so long as arts programs are supported by administrators. Arts are not optional. They are essential.” The Arcata Arts Institute agrees and we are thankful to have such strong advocates for the arts in our program.
